JOHN CYRIL BENNETT Dearly loved father of John, Ant and Liz passed away peacefully on Monday 28th November at Barnetson Court. A former Headmaster of the Hayward School, Chelmsford, Captain in the Royal Welch Fusiliers and holder of the Burma Star Medal, John was the brave gentleman who gave the Kohima Epitaph at Great Dunmows Remembrance service at the towns War Memorial this year. He will be greatly missed by all his family, many friends and fellow members of the Royal British Legion and Burma Star Association. Funeral service to be held at St Marys Church, Great Dunmow on Friday 9th December at 11.30am followed by private cremation. All enquiries to Daniel Robinson and Sons, Haslers Lane, Great Dunmow.
