Rayne Church spread festive cheer with its annual Christmas Tree Festival.
The festival took place on the weekend of December 10 and 11. Visitors were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite tree, with more than 800 votes cast.
The winner was a tree made entirely of knitted hats, which was created by members of Rayne WI. The hats will be donated to CHESS homelessness charity in partnership with Braintree Council.
In second place was a tree created by Beryl Whiteside, entitled 'All Sold Out!', and third place went to Mel and Richard Whiteside for their tree for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Father Christmas and his elves paid a visit, and the Braintree Male Voice Choir performed at the end of the festival.
