Rock Choir members from Great Dunmow and surrounding areas travelled 500 miles to deliver 'the performance of a lifetime' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Led by Adam Abo Henriksen, the choir members performed a sell-out show with an uplifting 45-minute set consisting of popular pop, rock and chart songs.
The Rock Choir comprises members from Dunmow, Braintree, Bury St Edmunds, Chelmsfod, Colchester, Sudbury and Witham - and is part of a network with more than 33,000 members in 400 local communities.
The choir aims to offer an alternative experience to the traditional classical choirs, with an ethos of fun, friendship and community spirit.
Last week's Rock Choir show was watched by comedian Omid Djalili, who posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): "Took a random punt last night and went to see Rock Choir.
"Turns out every night at 6.40pm and 7.40pm a huge Rock Choir from somewhere in Britain literally rocks up and sings rock and pop songs for bang on 45 mins with sophisticated harmonies.
"It’s moving and glorious. I’m going again."
More than 40 Rock Choirs are taking part in this year's Fringe Festival, with more than 3,000 individal members performing.
In recognition of the initiative's success at the festival over the past few years, Rock Choir has received three "Sell Out Laurels" from the Fringe Society.
