The public toilets in Dunmow town square have been reopened following a £100,000 refurbishment.
On Friday, August 25, the toilets were 'handed over' to Mayor Cllr Alex Armstrong by Simon Bartholomew, director of Marks Tey-based Lexden Contracts Ltd, who carried out the work.
The toilets are more than 20 years old, and work to update the facilities took five months to complete.
The refurbishment has seen the building, which is adjacent to the town centre car park, transformed into a modern and clean facility for the town and its visitors.
