Children from Helena Romanes School in Dunmow brought in their creative carved pumpkins for a Halloween competition.
Pupils from reception to Year 4 took part, and lined up their pumpkins in the playground for parents and carers to see throughout the day on Tuesday, October 31.

The competition was judged by headteacher Mrs Hone, who admired the children's spooky designs and struggled to settle on a winner.
A spokesperson for the school said: "It was very difficult to pick a winner from all of the wonderful designs and three designs were chosen as runners up.
"A lot of hard work and creativity went into all of the pumpkin designs and it was amazing to see them all decorating our playground."
