Community groups in Uttlesford can apply for a share of £450,000.
Uttlesford District Council has invited bids from various organisations.
These must support projects which create opportunities, reduce inequality, and enhance residents' quality of life in the district.
The council was assigned £1m from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund by the central government to use over three years.
Councillor Petrina Lees, leader of the council, said: "The UK Share Prosperity Fund is a great opportunity to really get to the heart of our communities and to direct funding to where it can have the biggest impact.
"Through the fund, we have managed to support some wonderful projects that are making a real difference.
"We now look forward to receiving new project applications that can achieve more positive outcomes and benefits for residents, particularly in rural areas of the district."
The council has already approved 18 projects in a bid to benefit communities.
