Chris Difford, co-founder of Squeeze, captivated Dunmow audiences with anecdotes from his four-decade-long music career.
Lyricist, guitarist and singer Chris, who co-wrote 'Cool for Cats', 'Up the Junction', and 'Labelled with Love' performed at Dunmow Music Club ahead of his nationwide tour with Squeeze.
He was joined by fellow Squeeze guitarist Melvin Duffy for the performances.
The demand for tickets was so high that the club ran the event over two nights for the first time.
Club host Mick Wilson opened each evening with a warmly received set of his own songs.
Tickets for future concerts, featuring Tom Robinson, Nine Below Zero frontmen Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham, and lead singer with Manfred Mann’s Earthband, Robert Hart, are available at www.dunmowmusicclub.com.
