Felsted School praised its "really special group of students" for an "excellent set of results" in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

After being named a top 20 UK International Baccalaureate School by best-schools.co.uk in 2023, this year, Felsted School's students have again excelled, achieving an average score of nearly 35 points out of 45.

This puts the results above the global average of 30.3 points and in line with the UK average of 34.6 points.

More than half of the students achieved more than 34 points, the equivalent of two A*s and one A at A Level.

As a result of the scores, students have successfully secured places at prestigious universities, including Oxford, Durham, Edinburgh and the University of Amsterdam.

Felsted's head, Chris Townsend said: "These achievements will open the door to the world's top universities and careers - we wish them every success as they move on to their next stage of education or into the workplace."

Prefects Jemima Leigh and Isabel Wadley scored highest with 43 points out of a total of 45.

She said: "I joined in Year 5 and have loved my time at Felsted; my key highlights have been all of the academic and sports trips, namely the New York economics trip, in addition to the House singing competition, and of course a three year unbeaten run for our hockey team.
