A spokesperson for the project said: "Each bird has been created as a collage of local historical and interesting buildings to showcase the history and heritage within the district."
These creations, hidden at key tourist sites and landmarks, are part of the 'Larking About in Uttlesford' initiative aimed at showcasing the district's history, heritage, and rural landscapes.
Participants can photograph the birds then tag @discoveruttlesford and @saffronwaldenmuseum on social media for a chance to win a season pass to Saffron Walden Museum.
