Year 11 students from Helena Romanes School in Dunmow are celebrating after completing their silver Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Fifteen students headed to the Peak District on Monday, September 2 to undertake the expedition.
Beginning on the moors above Rowsley, the group navigated to their campsite at Birchover, where they were greeted by peacocks and llamas.
The following day the group travelled to Youlgreave and Lathkill Dale, and were at their site at Haddon Grove Farm by early afternoon.
On the last morning, the group headed for Cressbrook Dale and finished at Monsal Head Viaduct.
Expedition leader Mr Graves said: "I am pleased to report that their navigation and campcraft was of a very high standard and all passed their silver section."
