More than 5,000 people enjoyed a "fantastic" day out at Great Dunmow Carnival 2024.
The carnival - which this year was on the theme of 'Olympic cities' - was held on the Recreation Ground on Saturday, September 21.
Activities included a strong man competition, arts and crafts for children, pony rides, funfair rides and firework displays.
The day began with a procession through the town, starting and finishing at The Angel and Harp.
Entertainment was provided by The Buskerteers Choir, Rom Theatre Arts Kids, The Dance Exclusive in the day, alongside Kyokushinkai Karate Club and an appearance from the Mayor of Great Dunmow and the Carnival Court.
The 2024 Carnival Court consisted of Carnival Queen Hunnie Beedle, princesses Emma Perry and Lorelei Enderson, and princes Edmund McDermont and Alexander Insley.
Evening entertainment included performances from Bea Earle, Faith Louise, Arcane Moon and The Noisy Neighbours.
Dunmow Carnival Committee thanked sponsors McCarthy Stone, Dons of Dunmow, Bellway, White Mill Pre-School and Elevate Solar for their support.
The carnival raised money for Uttlesford Citizens Advice and the Alexia Wilson Trust.
