A charity golf day raised £45,000 for children with cerebral palsy.

Great Dunmow funeral directors Daniel Robinson & Sons hosted the event at Colne Valley Golf Club earlier this month.

The Lime Trees Care Group were declared the winners out of 30 teams.

The funds will be used to pay for private physiotherapy and equipment for children which is not available on the NHS.

Managing director of Daniel Robinson & Sons, Gary Neill, said: "This is a huge day on our community events calendar.

"We work hard to make it special for everyone who supports the day and, most importantly, we work hard because we know that every penny raised will go towards helping these very special, and determined young children and teens."
