An unknown substance - speculated to be acid - was thrown over three cars parked in a driveway in Barnston.

The cars were damaged at around 3.30am on Saturday, October 19 in Berners End off Chelmsford Road.

He said: "The council has put a tiny notice on one of the road signs but only on one side.

"A neighbour from over the way asked if we would put a sign on our fence to say 'no airport parking, residents only'. We duly obliged and this reduced the number of people parking.

"We have no disputes with anyone, so this is almost certainly as a result of having the sign on our fence, then the airport parker decided they would take revenge."
