A new multi-agency initiative to support people in the community has been launched in Takeley.
This Social Outreach Service (SOS) Hub, which already runs in Saffron Walden, has now been rolled out to the Takeley Old School Community Hub, and will have a drop-in event on the second Thursday of the month.
Organisations involved include Mind in West Essex, Peabody housing association, the Terence Higgins Trust, Phoenix Futures, Open Road drug and alcohol recovery service, Essex Sexual Health Services and the Uttlesford Community Safety Partnership.
The first session was held on Thursday, November 14, and saw High Sheriff of Essex David Hirst present an award to Uttlesford District Council's community safety officer Angi Greneski for her involvement in the Reaching Rural Communities project.
