Sixty pupils decorated rocks with positive messages for World Kindness Day.
The Helena Romanes School students worked with Barratt and David Wilson Homes, who donated craft pens and rocks for the project.
The rocks, adorned with uplifting messages, will be displayed at the Great Dunmow Grange development for the community to enjoy.
James Terry, a teacher at Helena Romanes School, said: "The children loved taking part in the project and showing off their creativity.
"It was so lovely to see the children embedding our school values of kindness and broadmindedness into an art project that the whole community will enjoy."
World Kindness Day took place on Wednesday, November 13, backed by non-profit organisation, The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation.
