Celebrations have been going on all summer after Dunmow Rovers Panthers' superb upward trajectory ended in a league title.
They were crowned U13 Division One champions in the Blackwater & Dengie Youth League.
It was the cherry on top of the cake for the side managed by Steve Shelton and Robert Lee following six years of progression.
The pair have been in charge since the team was formed, when most of the players were just five-years-old, and under their stewardship they have risen through the ranks, with the squad improving their ability and skill level year on year.
The ultimate prize finally came their way after a tough season on the final day of the campaign.
They went into in one point behind but knew victory would give them the title.
They duly did that, completing the season with just one defeat to their name, a feat that brought nothing but pride for Shelton.
He said: "The whole team are incredible and always give 100 per cent.
"They challenge for every ball and their commitment to one another and the team has finally paid off.
"I couldn’t be prouder of them."
