There was cup triumph for Dunmow United as their U10 squad picked up silverware.
The U10 Pythons gave their supporters plenty of celebrations at Burnham Ramblers' Leslie Field Stadium as they took the win in the Blackwater & Dengie League Cup for the Crouch Division.
They were playing against Braintree's Sporting 77 and came out on top with a 3-2 win.
The team, led out by captain Freddie Riley, tool an early lead through Zach Stalley, before the opposition levelled.
Again Dunmow went back in front, Tristan Twiname striking just before half-time, but once again Sporting levelled things up, midway through the second period.
The Braintree side almost took the lead only for a fine strike to be tipped over the top by Dunmow keeper Charlie Hook.
That sent the game into extra-time and it was in the second period of the added minutes that Dunmow took the lead for the third time, a great strike from Hunter Brown.
That proved to be the winner but once it still needed Hock to deny a one on one chance for Sporting and secure the victory.
Dunmow United: Charlie Hook, Zach Stalley, Teddy Burks, Logan Smith, Freddie Riley (C), Ray Fisk, Joe Thorley, George Muscroft, Hunter Brown, Tristan Twiname.
